Author, educator and filmmaker, he has directed and produced over 20 BBC documentaries, edited numerous television documentaries and was assistant editor for over a dozen features and Pinewood and Shepperton Studios, England. Writer of many reviews, essays and articles on film and literature, he has taught documentary filmmaking in several countries abroad. His Directing the Documentary and Directing: Film Techniques and Aesthetics are used by schools and professional filmmakers worldwide.
Developing Story Ideas is his latest book. ---
